Stoicism
&
Finding meaning in survivalistic indecency
COMING SOON...
When free time becomes more aplenty I hope to research on a great amount of philosophers and their philosophies and document that journey here. As well as implement and take away concepts to expand my perspective on my own building personal philosophy of finding meaning in meaningless indecency and living in survival mode. Better yet, a way to connect and label out how to control the burden of humanity and find inner peace and happiness. I have a lot of stories, and lessons that I learned that do need more perspective, and here it will be gathered.
I will be starting with the first one: I've been picked up unknowingly as a child, stoicism. "The endurance of pain or hardship without the display of feelings and without complaint." In other words, an ancient philosophy centered on cultivating inner resilience and calm by learning to separate what lies within our control and what's out of control.
In our control: our thoughts, judgments, and actions—from what lies
Out of our control: Outside events and the behavior of others.
This is my learning journey to grow myself and my philosophies.
